Abstract:
A method for preparing a high beryllium-copper alloy for a photomultiplier tube dynode, the method comprising the steps of: material preparation, smelting, furnace chamber cleaning, strip manufacturing and finish rolling. The high-purity beryllium-copper intermediate alloy is matched with high-purity copper, and the mass percentage of each ingredient is: 2.3 wt.%-2.6 wt.% of beryllium, not more than 0.31 wt.% of nickel, not more than 0.058 wt.% of iron, not more than 0.013 wt.% of aluminum, not more than 0.028 wt.% of silicon, not more than 0.0020 wt.% of lead, not more than 0.0020 wt.% of cadmium, not more than 0.0020 wt.% of zinc, not more than 0.43 wt.% of other impurity elements, and the balance Cu.
