Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of propylene oxide preparation, and discloses a method for preparing propylene oxide by means of the direct epoxidation of propylene. The method comprises: under propylene epoxidation reaction conditions, bringing a mixed gas containing a reaction feed gas and a diluent gas in contact with a catalyst for reaction, so as to obtain propylene oxide, wherein the reaction feed gas comprises propylene, oxygen and hydrogen, and at least part of the diluent gas is a gaseous olefin. According to the present invention, an epoxidation reaction of propylene is performed with a gaseous olefin as at least part of a diluent gas, which can significantly prolong the service life of a catalyst, and effectively reduce the amount of the diluent gas, thereby reducing the difficulty of subsequent product separation, reducing energy consumption, and under the condition of ensuring safety, the concentration of oxygen in the reaction system can be effectively improved, so that the utilization efficiency of raw materials is improved, and the reaction selectivity and the propylene conversion rate are also improved.
