Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for the preservation of wood, comprising heating the wood in an oven at approximately 200 °C, wherein the wood comprises a variety of wood that has been selected from the group comprising Douglas Fir, Oregon Pine, Sitka Spruce and Hemlock. The invention furthermore relates to a deck comprising a multiplicity of connected planks of wood, wherein the planks have been preserved in accordance with this method, as well as planks of wood intended for use in this deck.
