Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a method capable of producing: an aliphatic polyester resin which has a high molecular weight and contains substantially no impurities such as metals; and especially a poly(lactic acid) which has a high molecular weight and high optical purity. [Solution] A method for producing an aliphatic polyester resin of the present disclosure is characterized by including: a step for bringing a solution containing a cyclic ester into contact with a cyclic amine catalyst and a polymerization initiator so as to initiate a reaction; a step for carrying out this reaction by means of flow type polymerization; and a step for subjecting the product obtained using the flow type polymerization to a reaction by means of post-polymerization through stirring.
