Abstract:
This method for producing a cellulose acetate includes: a crushing step for crushing pulp in liquid by stirring, in a container, a mixed liquid containing an acetic acid and pulp having a solid content concentration set to a value in the range of 5-20% by weight and a water concentration set to a value in the range of 0-3% by weight; and an acetylation step for adding a reaction initiator to the mixed liquid containing the crushed pulp in the container and acetylating, in the container, a cellulose of the pulp in the presence of an acetic anhydride.
