Abstract:
A method for producing a formed polybenzazole product wherein a polybenzazole polymer is prepared in the presence of a solvent in a polymerization reactor and then the resulting polymer dope is transferred to a forming machine to form the polymer, characterized in that when the pressure of the polymer dope in the forming machine exceeds the predetermined range, an action is taken so as to retain the pressure of the polymer dope within the predetermined range. The method allows the stable production of polybenzazole and the provision of a formed polybenzazole product having good processability.
