Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving the unraveling properties of glass direct roving at an end surface. This method for producing glass direct roving is provided with a winding step for winding glass strands in a cylindrical shape while forming a twill weave. The winding step involves winding glass strands while forming a twill weave having a twill weave return number of 10 or higher under the condition that the interval parameter, which is the smaller value among "b" and "A-b", satisfies "(A/2)*-(A/4)*" to "(A/2)*-1", inclusive, when the return number is "A", the maximum integer no greater than 1/2 the return number is "(A/2)*", the maximum integer no greater than 1/4 the return number is "(A/4)*", and the twill weave cycle winding number is expressed as the mixed fraction "a+(b/A)".
