Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing high-efficiency methanol capable of reducing the emission of carbon dioxide and, more specifically, to a method for producing high-efficiency methanol, wherein in the process composed of a first step of preparing a mixed gas by using steam and natural gas as reaction raw materials and converting C2+ hydrocarbon contained in the natural gas into methane on a catalyst, a second step of preparing a synthetic gas from the mixed gas, the mole ratio of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide being controlled in the synthetic gas, and a third step of synthesizing methanol on a catalyst using the synthetic gas as a raw material, an appropriate amount of carbon dioxide is fed into one of a reformer reactor in the second step and a methanol synthesis reactor in the third step or divisionally fed into two thereof; an unreacted synthetic gas emitted from the third step for methanol synthesis is again recycled to the second step and the third step at the same time or to only the third step to be reused as a raw material; some of the unreacted synthetic gas is used as a gas for combustion in a heating furnace for supplying reaction heat needed in the second step, together with the natural gas; and the heat of a high-temperature gas after combustion, which is emitted from the heating furnace, is efficiently recovered and used by a series of heat exchangers, thereby maximizing carbon efficiency and heat efficiency of the overall process while reducing the use amount of the natural gas.
