Abstract:
A honeycomb structure comprising ceramic and having at least a first end surface, a second end surface, a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a plurality of channels extending from the first end surface to the second end surface and partitioned by inner walls, wherein a connecting hole comprising a first opening formed in the first sidewall or the second sidewall, and a second opening for connecting the plurality of channels and formed in the plurality of inner walls facing the first opening is formed from the first sidewall using a laser beam which passes through water flowing from a water jet.
