Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing lithium hydroxide monohydrate using lithium carbonate as a raw material, comprising: 1) conversion reaction: adding water and calcium oxide into lithium carbonate to generate a conversion residue and a lithium hydroxide solution, the reaction temperature being 80-90°C and the time being 3-7 hours; 2) washing the conversion residue in step 1) with water, and filtering same to obtain a filter residue and a washing solution, and drying the filter residue to obtain calcium oxide, the calcium oxide entering calcium cycling to participate in the conversion reaction of step 1) again; and 3) sequentially performing evaporative crystallization and drying on the lithium hydroxide solution obtained in step 1) to obtain lithium hydroxide monohydrate, condensed water in the crystallization process and the washing solution entering water cycling to participate in the conversion reaction of step 1) again. The method avoids introducing abundant impurities in industrial lime into a system, reduces the treatment steps of a lithium hydroxide solution, lowers the costs, and prevents the loss of lithium.
