Title:
METHOD OF PRODUCING (METH)ACRYLOYL-TERMINATED POLYISOBUTYLENE POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/099043
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method of producing a (meth)acryloyl-terminated polyisobutylene polymer that facilitates removal of auxiliary raw materials used in production, reduces a load and an amount of waste products in a purification process, and has excellent transparency. The method of producing a (meth)acryloyl-terminated polyisobutylene polymer is characterized by including: a first step of obtaining a halogen-terminated polyisobutylene polymer (B) by polymerizing an isobutylene monomer in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst; a second step of obtaining under certain conditions a halogenated phenoxyalkyl-terminated polyisobutylene polymer compound (D) by reacting a compound (C) having a halogen group and a phenoxy group with the halogen-terminated polyisobutylene polymer (B) in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst; and a third step of obtaining a (meth)acryloyl-terminated polyisobutylene polymer (A) by reacting an acrylic acid compound (E) with the halogenated phenoxyalkyl-terminated polyisobutylene polymer compound (D).
