Abstract:
A method for producing a mixed composition that is formed by kneading lignocellulose fibers and a molten thermoplastic resin and that is used as a fiber-reinforced plastic material, wherein: the method has a kneading step for kneading the lignocellulose fibers (A) and the thermoplastic resin (B) using a multi-shaft screw extruder (1) provided with two or more screws (3); the multi-shaft screw extruder (1) is provided with a cylinder (2) having, in the interior thereof, a kneading space in which the screws (3) are positioned, and is also provided with a heating device (8) including a plurality of heating units (81) positioned on the outer periphery of the cylinder (2) and along the axial direction of the cylinder (2); and in the kneading step, within all regions along the axial-direction, the lignocellulose fibers (A) and the thermoplastic resin (B) are kneaded while the setting temperatures of the heating units (81) are kept lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin (B).
