Abstract:
This method for producing octafluorocyclopentene involves bringing 1-chloroheptafluorocyclopentene into contact with an alkali metal fluoride. Said production method includes: a raw material heating step in which 1-chloroheptafluorocyclopentene is heated to a temperature that falls within the range of 40°C to 55°C; and a fluorination step in which a suspension containing an aprotic polar solvent and an alkali metal fluoride is maintained at 85°C, while heated 1-chloroheptafluorocyclopentene is supplied to the suspension to perform fluorination and obtain octafluorocyclopentene.
