Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING OLEFIN POLYMER, AND OLEFIN POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/050817
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an olefin polymer production method that offers excellent catalytic activity and that can produce an olefin polymer having high heat resistance and a high molecular weight. [Solution] Disclosed is a method for producing an olefin polymer that includes constituent units originating from at least one of ethylene and C4-30 α-olefins within the range of from greater than 50 mol% to less than or equal to 100 mol% in total, the method comprising a step for polymerizing at least one type of olefin selected from ethylene and C4-30 α-olefins in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst including a transition metal compound represented by general formula [I]. (In the formula [I], R1, R3, and R5 to R16 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, etc.; R2 is a hydrocarbon group, etc.; R4 is a hydrogen atom; M is a group 4 transition metal; Q is a halogen atom, etc.; and j is an integer of from 1 to 4.)
