Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICALLY ACTIVE ALCOHOL COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/089025
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing an optically active alcohol compound, which is characterized in that a cyclic ether compound and a phenol compound are reacted in the presence of an asymmetric complex which is obtained by reacting an optically active metal complex represented by the formula (1) below with a metal sulfonate. (1) (In the formula, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like; one of R9 and R10 represents a hydrogen atom and the other represents a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group or the like; Q represents a single bond, an alkylene group having 1-4 carbon atoms or the like; M represents a metal ion; and there is no A when the ionic valency of the metal ion is equal to the coordination number of ligands, while A represents a counter ion or a ligand when the ionic valency is different from the coordination number.)
