Abstract:
Polyphenol processed fibers are obtained bringing fibers into contact with polyphenols and then treating the fibers with an anionic aqueous dispersion of a phenylamide compound. The polyphenols comprise tea-derived polyphenols and/or grape-derived polyphenols, the aqueous dispersion has a polymer component that will disperse, and a polymer component having anions can be used as the polymer component. Furthermore, at least one of antifoaming treatment and acidic post-treatment is further performed in order to control fading as a result of repeated washing. Antifoaming treatment involves exposure to an antifoaming agent during colorfast treatment and acidic post-treatment is treatment of the colorfast fibers using a weakly acidic aqueous solution.
