Abstract:
A method of producing a wire rope (2), used in net or rope climbing game groups, is disclosed, wherein the individual strands (2.3) are covered with a braided structure (2.1) of thermoplastic material, said covered strands being closed into the wire rope, the braided coverings (2.1) being at least partially melted by guiding the wire rope through an induction heating device (3), thereby heating up the wires to a temperature to melt the thermoplastic material, flowing together to increase the strength of the overall structure.
