Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a method for producing a super water-repellent coating agent that is environmentally friendly and is capable of easily forming a super water-repellent surface for toys; a super water-repellent coating; and a toy using the super water-repellent coating. The present invention provides a method for producing a super water-repellent coating agent, the method being characterized by comprising: a preparation step for preparing a starting material composition that contains silica nanoparticles, a water-soluble alcohol, water, two kinds of silanes that do not contain a fluorine atom, ammonia water and an organic binder; a modification step in which the surfaces of the silica nanoparticles are modified by having the starting material composition undergo a sol-gel reaction with the silanes; and an odor removal step for removing ammonia after the modification step. The present invention also provides a toy which is characterized by comprising a super water-repellent coating agent which is obtained by the above-described production method, a base material, a dripping tool and a colored solution.
