Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to make it possible to ultrasonically weld a core of a wire to a core wire connection section of a terminal, while also suppressing the occurrence of cracking in a base of an insulation crimp part of the terminal. This method for producing a terminal-equipped wire includes ultrasonically welding an exposed core wire of a wire to a core wire connection section of a terminal comprising the core wire connection section and an insulation crimp part. The method for producing a terminal-equipped wire comprises: (a) a step for supporting a core wire connection section (23) on an anvil (32); (b) a step for bringing an insulation crimp part (24) into contact with a vibration-suppressing contact section (50); (c) a step for disposing an exposed core wire (14a) over the core wire connection section (23) and disposing insulation (16) for the wire within the insulation crimp part (24); and (d) a step for ultrasonically welding the exposed core wire (14a) to the core wire connection section (23) in the state where the core wire connection section (23) is supported on the anvil (32) and the insulation crimp part (24) has been brought into contact with the vibration-suppressing contact section (50).
