Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a toner for electrostatic-image development, the method comprising step (1) in which a release agent is mixed with and emulsified in a dispersion of resin particles comprising 90 mass% or more polyester resin (A) to obtain a dispersion of release agent particles, step (2) in which the dispersion of release agent particles obtained in the step (1) is mixed with a dispersion of a polyester-based resin (B) as a binder resin and the particles and the resin (B) are aggregated to obtain aggregate particles, and step (3) in which the aggregate particles obtained in the step (2) are fused to obtain fused particles. In the step (1), the "release agent/polyester resin (A)" mass ratio is 1-100 and the polyester resin (A) includes an alcohol component, 80 mol% or more of which is accounted for by a C3-C6 aliphatic diol which forms an alkyl branch structure in the resin (A).
