The present invention provides a urethane prepolymer for a two-component curable adhesive which has a fast PAA decrease rate and excellent storage stability.　Provided is a method for producing a urethane prepolymer for a two-component curable adhesive, comprising: a first step for obtaining a urethane prepolymer (I) by reacting, at 65-85°C, an isocyanate composition (i) in which the content of 2,2'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate is not more than 0.5 mass%, the content of 2,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate is not more than 5.0 mass%, and the content of 4,4'-phenylmethane diisocyanate is not less than 75.0 mass%, and a polyol composition (ii), under conditions so that there is an excess of isocyanate groups contained in the isocyanate group with respect to active hydrogen groups contained in the polyol composition; and a second step for obtaining a urethane prepolymer (II) by heat-treating the urethane prepolymer (I) at 95-110°C.
