CLAIMS

1. Method for the production of freely shaped bodies from strip material, wherein in a first operation, the strips are wound to a flat plane onto a thin spindle.

2. Method for the production of free-form bodies from strip material as to claim 1 , where in in a second operation the spindle may be removed and the coiled flat blanks are formed perpendicular to the winding axis.

3. Method for the production of freely shaped bodies from strip material as to claim 2, wherein the shape of the resulting body is formed by pressing the circular blanks on or into a mother mold.

4. Method for the production of freely shaped bodies from strip material as to claim 1 to 3, where in that in a third operation, the wound, flat blanks are coated with paste or glue or immersed in it.

5. Method for producing free-form bodies from strip material as to claim 4, where in as a fourth operation, the flat or conical base bodies are pressed transversely to the winding axis to produce oval shapes.

6. Method for the production of free-form bodies from strip material as to claims 1 to 5, wherein after drying, the shaped blanks are deburred, coated and ground like corresponding cast bodies.

7. Method for producing bodies from strip material as to claim 1 , wherein that the strip material consists of paper

8. Method for producing bodies from strip material as to claim 1 , wherein the strip material consists of leather or fabric material.

9. Method for producing bodies from strip material as to claim 1 , wherein the strip material is made from recycled materials.

10. Method for producing bodies from strip material as to claim 1 , wherein the basic strip material is produced by hand or by machine.

Description:
Method for the production of free-form bodies from strip material

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

For various applications in mechanical engineering, advertising design and for decoration, freely shaped bodies of different sizes and shapes are required. These can be pottery or otherwise turned on the potter’s wheel, pressed out of metal plates, cast or milled and manufactured using injection molding.

In any case, this means machine work with constructive and manual preliminary work and high expenditure, creates high reproducibility of a given form with little flexibility for the individual execution and / or a high expenditure of time until the finished form.

TASK OF THE INVENTION/ PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED

The object of the present invention is therefore to arrange in a way that the production of freely shaped bodies such as bowls, cups, bases or other containers can be produced quickly, with minimal advance work, without tools, and any templates can be formed repeatedly without great effort.

Another task is to achieve this with the help of mother molds or hollow molds.

SOLUTION

This is achieved according to the invention by means of long, hand-made or machine-made blanks made from wound strip material. These blanks are molded by hand over any mother mold or molded into hollow molds. Even after molding it is possible to change the shaped body.

In order to achieve permanent shape stability, the bodies are optionally glued and colored according to requirements.

PRIOR ART

So far, no processes are known which produce bodies from rounded strip material freehand or using mother molds or hollow molds. Only W02001096048A1 deals with this in the margins in the production of free-form products from a powdery starting material, but this is done using an additive for binding. A subsequent change of the shaped body is not possible.
