Abstract:
Provided is a method for providing a stair-walking measuring service, the method comprising the steps of: measuring the current atmospheric pressure or altitude using a barometer or an altimeter to map and store the location of user equipment; monitoring changes in the measured current atmospheric pressure or altitude, and when a change occurs in a reference atmospheric pressure difference or reference altitude difference corresponding to a change in the floor number, checking whether the location of the user equipment is the same as the location where the current atmospheric pressure or altitude was measured; when the location where the change in the reference atmospheric pressure difference or reference altitude difference occurs is the same as the location where the current atmospheric pressure or altitude is measured, storing a first atmospheric pressure and a first altitude at which the change occurred; detecting a directional change within a range of around 180 degrees which includes a preset error range, during a preset period of time at the time when the first atmospheric pressure and first altitude is stored; when a directional change is detected, and when a change occurs in the reference atmospheric difference or reference altitude difference corresponding to the change in the floor number based on the atmospheric pressure or altitude at which the directional change occurs, checking whether the location of the user equipment is the same as the location where the atmospheric pressure or altitude at which the directional change occurred was measured; when the location of the user equipment is the same as the location where the atmospheric pressure or altitude at which the directional change occurred was measured, storing the atmospheric pressure or altitude at which the directional change occurred as a second atmospheric pressure or a second altitude; and determining that the user equipment has moved up one floor when the value of subtracting the first reference atmospheric pressure or first reference altitude from the second reference atmospheric pressure or second reference altitude is positive (+), and moved down one floor when the value is negative (-).
