Abstract:
This method for replacing the deflector sheave of an elevator includes: a step of placing positioning members (26a, 26b) on the floor and in contact with the deflector sheave shaft (11) of an existing deflector sheave assembly (10); a step of separating the existing deflector sheave assembly from a hoisting machine while the existing deflector sheave assembly is being supported by a support pedestal (24) on a movable platform (23); a step for moving the movable platform along guide members (22a, 22b); a step of replacing the existing deflector sheave assembly with a new deflector sheave assembly; and a step of moving the movable platform (23) below the hoisting machine, bringing the deflector sheave shaft of the new deflector sheave assembly into contact with the positioning members (26a, 26b) so as to position the new deflector sheave assembly, and raising the support pedestal.
