Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for setting a period in a BAN (Body Area Network), having various forms of virtual BSS (Basic Service Sets) installed according to the types of supporting applications, comprises the steps of: transmitting BAN BSS-type information of BAN BSS corresponding to an application for which a DEV (Device) requires support to a CP (Central Point); receiving BAN BSS confirmation information corresponding to the BAN BSS-type information; and transmitting data to the CP in an active period based on duty cycle information included in the BAN BSS confirmation information. BAN BSS can thus be suitably operated for applications.
