Abstract:
As a method for spraying a chemical solution whereby it is possible to, with respect to a dryer roll rotating at high speed, spray a chemical solution at the surface of the dryer roll while moving a nozzle device back and forth along the width direction of the dryer roll and cause a sufficient amount of the chemical solution to remain thereon, the present invention provides a method for spraying a chemical solution in which, in the dryer section DP of a paper machine, two nozzle devices S arranged with a fixed interval therebetween spray a chemical solution at a dryer roll D1 for guiding wet paper X while the two nozzle devices S are moved back and forth along a rail L extending in the width direction of the dryer roll D1 while the dryer roll D1 is rotating, and in which: the time T required for the two nozzle devices S to move in one direction is set to 0.2–1.5 minutes for both devices; the rotational speed Vd of the dryer roll D1 is set to at least 120 times/minute; the number of contact times N wherein a single point Q on the surface of the dryer roll D1 makes contact with the wet paper X during the time T is set to 30–250 times; the time T, the rotational speed Vd, and the number of contact times N satisfy the relationship N=T·Vd; and the total sprayed amount of the chemical solution is set to 0.3–500 mg/m2 in terms of the amount of the active ingredients of the chemical solution.
