Abstract:
To provide a method for disrupting the outer shell of a microalga by shearing and a system therefor, whereby a useful substance produced by the microalga, said microalga having rigid cell wall, can be leaked from microalgal cells into a treating liquid at a high efficiency within a short period of time while preventing the deterioration of the qualities of the useful substance. For this purpose, an unmovable first face 41b in a flange shape, which is perpendicular to a first flow channel 41a in a straight tube shape, is provided. Further, a second face 42a, which faces the first face 41b, is provided in a movable manner. In the first face 41b, one or more concentric first circumferential grooves 41d are formed. In the second face 42a, second circumferential grooves 42d, which are fittable to the first circumferential grooves 41d, are formed. In the tip end part of the first flow channel 41a, the diameter is reduced to form a narrow channel 41c. Moreover, an actuator 46 is provided so as to pressurize the second face 42a in the direction of closing a gap 47 formed between the second face 42a and the first face 41b.
