Abstract:
A method of timing advance adjustment for a user equipment (UE) in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a serving cell of the NTN, NTN assistance information via a broadcasting system information (SI) or a UE-specific dedicated control signaling, where the NTN assistance information including at least one of a common timing advance value, location information associated with the serving cell and a reference point, a feeder link delay between the serving cell and the reference point, setting a compensation timing advance value according to the received NTN assistance information, and performing a first message transmission of a random access (RA) procedure according to the compensation timing advance value.
