Abstract:
This microchannel plate is provided with: a substrate which has a front surface, a back surface and a lateral surface; a plurality of channels which penetrate the substrate from the front surface to the back surface; a first film which is provided on at least the inner wall surface of each channel; a second film which is provided on at least a part of the first film; and electrode layers which are respectively provided on the front surface and the back surface of the substrate. The first film is formed from MgO; the second film is formed from SiO2; and the thickness of the second film is thinner than the thickness of the first film.
