Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique by which it is possible to more reliably obtain a more uniform irradiance distribution. In this microlens array, a plurality of lens elements are arrayed on at least one surface of a planar member, wherein the shape of the lens surface of each of the lens elements is defined by a non-spherical expression, a pitch D of the lens elements in the microlens array is 25μm to 150μm, and the microlens array has a bat-winged intensity distribution in which the intensity distribution of light passing through the microlens array is such that the light intensity is at a maximum at both ends in a prescribed view angle range and at a minimum at the center of the view angle range.
