Abstract:
The invention relates to a microscope with an adaptive optics system in the observation beam, whereby a transmitting wave front modulator is positioned advantageously between the objective and the tube lens or a reflective wave front modulator is connected via beam splitters. The invention also relates to a microscope with an adaptive optics system in the illuminating beam. The invention further relates to a laser scanning microscope comprising at least one adaptive optics system positioned downstream from the laser in the optical beam and advantageously a first adaptive optics system for coarse focusing and a second adaptive optics system for fine focusing, whereby the adaptive optics system can be configured as reflective wave front modulator and the laser as short pulse laser. In addition a combination with a pre-chirp unit can be provided for.
