Title:
MICROSERVICE-ORIENTED NANOSECOND-LEVEL POWER RESOURCE ALLOCATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/073085
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A microservice-oriented nanosecond-level power resource allocation method and system. The method comprises: adopting a flexible power consumption budget method to divide allocatable power corresponding to each microservice according to a unique power consumption performance model thereof so as to eliminate macroscopic regulation and control delay; then adopting a local power consumption modulation design to bypass a power consumption management and control program of a server system layer, and directly invoking a voltage modulation module on a processor chip to execute a power consumption allocation process for each microservice so as to eliminate microscopic execution delay; and finally, recording and updating the adjustment results of the flexible power consumption budget method and the local power consumption modulation design by means of a transparent mapping mechanism to realize optimal allocation of power resources. According to the present invention, the energy-saving potential brought by a heterogeneous microservice is fully mined, so that the target of energy-saving limitation of a conventional data center is further broken through.
