Abstract:
A microwave treatment device of the present disclosure is provided with: a heating chamber that contains an article to be heated; a microwave generation unit that generates microwaves with frequencies in a prescribed frequency band; an amplification unit that amplifies the microwaves generated by the microwave generation unit; a power feed unit that feeds the microwaves amplified by the amplification unit to the heating chamber; a detection unit that detects the reflected power from the power feed unit; and a control unit. The control unit selects a plurality of frequencies in the prescribed frequency band and controls the microwave generation unit to generate microwaves of the selected frequencies. The control unit controls the amplification unit in order to change the output power of the microwaves so that microwaves at any of a plurality of output powers are fed to the heating chamber. The control unit measures reflected wave frequency characteristics on the basis of the reflected power detected from microwaves with a first output power and a second output power among the plurality of output powers.
