CLAIMS

1- The invention is about the mineral filter air cleaning appliance and its’ characteristic is having;

- a casing (1) including a casing top lid (1.1), a casing top air lid (1.2), a casing back middle lid (1.3) and a casing back top lid (1.4),

- a control panel screen (2) and LED light indication (2) positioned on the casing top lid (1.1),

- a water filling lid (5) and clean air outlet space (4) positioned on the casing top air lid (1.2),

- a contaminated air intake section (6) and mains power input (7) positioned at the casing back top lid (1.4),

- a water tank (14) fixed at the bottom of the casing (1),

- a humidity nozzle (15), humidity nozzle connector (16), water pump (17), water level system (18) and water safety switch (19) positioned on the water tank (14),

- a back inner panel (8) fixed between humidity nozzle connector (16) and casing top lid (1.1) on the casing (1),

- a fan sheet (10) fixed perpendicular to back inner panel (8),

- a suction fan (11) positioned on top of the fan sheet (10),

- a repulse fan (12) positioned on the bottom of fan sheet (10),

- a filter (21) attached to the water pump (17) and humidity nozzle (15),

2- What is mentioned in Claim 1 is the mineral filter air cleaning appliance and its’ characteristic is having the clean air outlet space (4) including the clean air outlet canal (4.1) where the air cleaned with filter (21) passes through. 3- What is mentioned in Claim 1 is the mineral filter air cleaning appliance and its’ characteristic is having the clean air outlet space (4) that includes the air condensation zone (4.2) constituted between the filter (21) and the water tank (14).

4- What is mentioned in Claim 1 is the mineral filter air cleaning appliance and its’ characteristic is having the water pipe space (5.1) and the water filling lid (5) including the water pipe (5.2) in the product subject to invention.

5- What is mentioned in Claim 1 is the mineral filter air cleaning appliance and its’ characteristic is having the contaminated air intake section (6) that includes the contaminated air inner chamber suction lid (6.1) where the contaminated air goes in.

Description:
MINERAL FILTER AIR CLEANING APPLIANCE

Technological Area:

This invention is about the mineral filter air cleaning appliance that can be used in air cleaning systems sector to disinfect the indoor air.

Current Situation of the Technique:

The environments that people are living, working, resting in, shortly spending the %90 of a daytime period are indoors or semi-closed places. The air in these places we’re present at are continously being contaminated with gas, dust and organic vapors asa aresult of our activities, such that sometimes the air quality inside can be polluted considerably much more than the air outside.

In the case of low indoor air quality, complaints increases such as headaches, itches in eye, dry throat, fatigue, nasal bum, distraction, not being able to concentrate on work and high sensitivity or non-sensitivity to odours. In addition more serious complaints and disorders occur for those who work indoors especially at offices. Indoors (places inside buildings) causing these kinds of complaints are called sick buildings and complications caused by these places are called sick building syndromes.

The concentrations of contaminants like gases and dusts affecting the indoor air quality, are increasing in the case of inadequate ventilation, improper temperature and humidity and tending to the creation of risky situations. For this reason it’s highly important to determine the risks and dangers exposed at indoors. There are several studies carried out on this matter and limit values designated as a result of these studies. Many indoor contaminants affecting human health arean inseperable part of our fifes. These substances demonstrate volatility because of their physical and cehmical properties. Therefore designating the indoor air quality and precautions against contaminants are at utmost importance by means of human health.

Air contamination of indoors is happening because of furniture and structure materials, industrial activities, cooking and human metabolism. If nothing is done such contamination becomes damaging for health and life quality.

The main method to improve the indoor air quality is thinning. Meaning that fresh air being taken in from outside. This is an expensive method because it requires heating the air in cold weathers and cooling and dehumidifying it in hot weathers. There’s not a useable appliance available to clean the indoor air inexpensively and efficiently. Because mechanical filtration has limited transmissibility and pressure decrease, it requires big fans consuming a lot of energy. Besides, filter should be replaced as it may become a breeding ground for bacteria.

In the patent application numbered EP2307813B1 “An appliance and method for air cleaning” is described. This invention is about an appliance and method which, in order to clean the air of off contamination, the air to be cleaned is treated through a series of physical and chemical processes.

In the patent application numbered TR201710004 “An air treatment appliance and method including a casing that has a fan, particle filters and pipe-type carbon filters” is described. The invention is about an air treatment appliance including a casing that has a fan, where the casing here is adjusted for a releasable zone intake filter appliances connected to a suction side of the fan and an outlet filter appliance connected to a pressure side of the fan. The invention is also about a system aimed at air treatment, especially air cleaning.

In the patent applications described above, air cleaning appliances are mentioned. So said products are not fully capable of cleaning the indoor air. Mentioned products in a way pass the air through a pre-cleaning process. This cleaning method and system can not provide elimination of harmful microorganisms contained within the air. Besides such products are disadvantageous by means of costs.

As a result there’s a need for a safe, long-lasting, durable, low cost and practical-to use new technology that can overcome the difficulties mentioned above, highly clean and disinfect the indoor air, eliminate the microorganisms within the air with UV rays, prevent UV rays to get out to the outer environment, automatically slef-clean itself and that doesn’t need frequent maintenance.

The Invention Definition:

This is invention is about the mineral filter air cleaning appliance that can overcome the difficulties mentioned above and its’ characteristic is being a safe, long-lasting, durable, low cost and practical-to use new technology that can overcome the difficulties mentioned above, highly clean and disinfect the indoor air, eliminate the microorganisms within the air with UV rays, prevent UV rays to get out to the outer environment, automatically slef-clean itself and that doesn’t need frequent maintenance.

The product subject to invention, with its’ structure and design, is practical-to use. The control panel on the product subject to invention is giving information about; the operational status of the mineral filter air cleaning appliance, replacement period of the lamp, replacement period of the mineral filter, water level, self-cleaning of the appliance and the mineral filter and also total working time and required warnings. The product subject to invention, with its’ structure and design, highly cleans and disinfects the indoor air and enhances the air quality.

With the UV rays technology used in the product subject to invention, microorganisms within the air can be eliminated with UV rays. With the UV ray guard plates on the product subject to invention, it’s prevented fort he UV rays to get out to the outer environment.

The product subject to invention, with its’ structure and design, can automatically selfclean itself automnaticaly. The product subject to invention stops operating every two and a half hour for a minimum of 15 and maximum of 30 minutes. During this period appliance self-cleans itself.

In the product subject to invention, the air passing through UV rays, arrives to the mineral filter by way of fans. The air passing through the mineral filter, is composed of ingredients required for clean air and oxygen. And this is healthy and necessary for humans and other livings (animals and plants).

If the LED light on the product subject to invention, is yellow it indicates the self- cleaning period of the appliance and the filter, if it’s red it indicates that there’s no water, if it’s blue it indicates the normal operation process of the appliance and if it’s green the water is filled to the adequate level.

The product subject to invention has a safe structure. The product subject to invention, with it’s structure and design, does not need frequent maintenance. The product subject to invention, with it’s structure and design, is able to provide a healthy indoor environment for living beings. The product subject to invention is in a solid structure. The product subject to invention, with it’s structure and design, is advantageous by means of costs.

Due to the parts composing the invention, being easily fixed on each other, the costs are low as a result of short assembly time. In addition the invention has a durable structure.

The filter (21) on the product subject to invention involves the mineral filter (21.2) that includes the first chamber water pump hose (21.2.9) and the second chamber water pump hose (21.2.10) where the water pump (17) is attached to.

The product subject to invention has the suction fan (11) and the repulse fan (12) which are positioned transversal to each other on top and bottom of the fan sheet (10). The alternative arrangement of the contaminated air intake section (6) in the product subject to invention has a contaminated air intake section (6) that includes a contaminated air outer and inner air suction lid (6.2) where a hose or pipe is attached to in a way to take in the outdoor air and make it cleaned.

Detailed Description of Invention:

The invention is basic consists of the casing (1), control panel scree (2), LED light indicator (3), clean air outlet space (4), water filling lid (5), contaminated air intake section (6), mains power input (7), back inner panel (8), housing (9), fan sheet (10), suction fan (11), repulse fan (12), UV ray bar (13), water tank (14), humidity nozzle (15), humidity nozzle connector (16), water pump (17), water level system (18), water safety switch (19), double fan (20) and filter (21) (Figure-1, Figure-2, Figure-3, Figure- 4, Figure-7, Figure-8).

There is the casing (1) in the product subject to invention. The casing (1) includes the casing top lid (1.1), casing top air lid (1.2), casing back middle lid (1.3) and casing back top lid (1.4). There’s the control panel screen (2) and LED light indicator (3) in the product subject to invention. The control panel screen (2) and the LED light indicator (3) is positioned on the casing top lid (1.1). There’s the clean air outlet space (4) in the product subject to invention. The clean air outlet space (4) includes the clean air outlet canal (4.1) and the air condensation zone (4.2). There’s the water filling lid (5) in the product subject to invention. The water filling lid (5) includes the water pipe space (5.1) and the water pipe (5.2). There’s the contaminated air intake section (6) in the product subject to invention. The contaminated air intake section (6) includes the contaminated air inner chamber suction lid (6.1), the mesh wire (6.3) and the UV ray guard plates (6.4). And as for the alternative arrangement of the contaminated air intake section (6) there’s the contaminated air outer and inner air suction lid (6.2). There’s the mains power input (7) in the product subject to invention. The mains power input (7) includes the solar panel input. The mains power input (7) is positioned on the casing back top lid (1.4) (Figure-1, Figure-2, Figure-4, Figure-7, Figure-9, Figure-10, Figure-11).

There’s the back inner panel (8), the housing (9) and the fan sheet (10) in the product subject to invention. The back inner panel (8) is positioned on the casing (1) in a way to be at the bottom of the casing top lid (1.1). The housing (9) is fixed on the inner back panel (8) in a way to be around the water pipe (5.2). The fan sheet (10) is fixed perpendicular on the back inner panel (8). There’s the suction fan (11) and the repulse fan (12) in the product subject to invention. The suction fan (11) is positioned on top of the fan sheet (10). And the repulse fan (12) is positioned on the bottom of fan sheet (10) in a way to be transversal to the suction fan (11). (Figure-2, Figure-3, Figure-4, Figure-

There’s the UV ray bar (13) on the product subject to invention. There’s the water tank (14), humidity nozzle (15), humidity nozzle connector (16), water pump (17), water level system (18), water safety switch (19), double fan (20) and filter (21) in the product subject to invention. The UV ray bar (13) is positioned transversal between the filter (21) and the fan sheet (10). The water tank (14) is positioned at the bottom of the casing (1) to be fixed on back inner panel (8) and housing (9). The humidity nozzle (15), humidity nozzle connector (16), water pump (17), water level system (18), water safety switch (19) are positioned on the water tank (14). The double fan (20) is fixed perpendicular on the back inner panel (8) (Figure-3, Figure-4, Figure-8).

The UV ray guard plates (6.4) are positioned right at the back of contaminated air intake section (6). With the help of positioning angle of UV ray guard plates (6.4) the rays emitted from UV ray bar (13) reflects back from the UV ray guard plates (6.4) and is prevented to get to the outer environment. The zone falls between the water tank (14) and the filter (21) is the air condensation zone (4.2) (Figure-2, Figure-8). The filter (21) includes the active carbon filter (21.1) and the mineral filter (21.2). The active carbon filter (21.1) consists of the active carbon filter casing (21.1.1), the active carbon filter chamber separator (21.1.2), the first chamber active carbon filter casing lid (21.1.3), the second chamber active carbon filter casing lid (21.1.4), the first chamber active carbon (21.1.5) and the second chamber active carbon (21.1.6). (21.2) consists of the mineral filter casing (21.2.1), the mineral filter chamber separator

(21.2.2), the first chamber mineral filter casing lid (21.2.3), the second chamber mineral filter casing lid (21.2.4), the first chamber active mineral filter (21.2.5), the second chamber active mineral filter (21.2.6), the first chamber nozzle connection point (21.2.7), the second chamber nozzle connection point (21.2.8), the first chamber water pump hose (21.2.9) and the second chamber water pump hose (21.2.10) (Figure-5, Figure-6, Figure-8, Figure-12, Figure-13).

The filter (21) is positioned by being attached form the first chamber nozzle connection point (21.2.7), the second chamber nozzle connection point (21.2.8), the first chamber water pump hose (21.2.9) and the second chamber water pump hose (21.2.10) to the water pump (17) and the humidity nozzle (15) (Figure-3, Figure-6).

The operating method of the product subject to invention is as follows; with the suction fan (11) and the double fan (20) running, the outdoor contaminated air passes through the contaminated air intake section (6) and the mesh wire (6.3) and get inside the appliance. The mesh wire (6.3) holds and cleans of off the particle within the contaminated air. The air sucked by the double fan (20) passes through the housing (9) and transmitted to the humidity nozzle (15) by the humidity nozzle connector (16). The air that arrives the humidity nozzle (15) is transmitted to the filter (21). And the repulse fan (12) repulses the air that gets inside the appliance towards the bottom section of the appliance. The air repulsed by the repulse fan (12) gets in contact with the UV ray emitted by the UV ray bar (13). Harmfixl microorganisms within the air are eliminated through contact with UV ray. The air cleaned of off microorganisms, passes through the final cleaning by going through the first chamber active carbon (21.1.5)-the second chamber active carbon (21.1.6) and/or the first chamber mineral filter (21.2.5)-the second chamber mineral filter (21.2.6) at the filter (21). The air cleaned by the filter (21) is condensed at the air condensation zone (4.2). The air condensed here goes upwards through the clean air outlet space (4) and passes to the outer environment. The product subject to invention stops operating every two and a half hour for a minimum of 15 to a maximum of 30 minutes. During this period the appliance self-cleans itself.
