Abstract:
A mobile communication system comprises a base station and a relay station that is operative to relay data transmitted and received between the base station and a mobile station. The base station comprises: a first scheduler for scheduling an initial transmission of data transmitted and received between the base station and the mobile station via the relay station; and a first managing unit for managing, as the radio resource used for the initial transmission of the data, a predetermined radio resource that is periodically used. The relay station comprises: a second scheduler for scheduling the transmission of a message used for determining whether the retransmission of the data is necessary and for scheduling the retransmission of the data; and a second managing unit for managing radio resources used for the transmission of the message and used for the retransmission of the data.
