Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a control method therefor, and, more specifically provides a mobile terminal comprising: a body; an input unit for receiving a user input; a display coupled to the body so that the display area viewed from the front surface of the body can be varied according to switching between an extended display mode and a reduced display mode; and a control unit, wherein the control unit generates an icon on the basis of the received user input, switches the mode of the display to the extended display mode according to an input signal for selecting the icon, and outputs, in the extended display mode, at least one application mapped to the icon.
