To perform data relay using a mobile terminal in a form that is suitable for the mobile terminal, the disclosed mobile terminal (100) is provided with a first communication means (130) that performs wireless communication with a client terminal (200), a second communication means (140) that performs wireless communication with a network (NW1), a storage means (120) that stores data, and a communication control means (110) that transmits data received via either the first or second communication means elsewhere. The communication control means stores data received via the second communication means in the storage means when the client terminal is in a state in which no data are received, transmits stored data to the first communication means when the client terminal is in a state in which data are received, stores data received via the first communication means in the storage means when wireless communication with the network is not possible, and transmits stored data to the second communication means when wireless communication with the network is possible.
