Abstract:
In order to provide a mobile wireless terminal which, in order to execute appropriate handover among a plurality of wireless base stations (access points), controls the timings or positions for executing said handover, the mobile wireless terminal (100) according to the present invention is provided with: an antenna (10) capable of receiving radio waves from access points; a wireless communication interface (20) that measures the reception power of the radio waves received by the antenna (10); a processor (40); and a memory (30). In cooperation with the memory (30), the processor (40) causes the memory (30) to store a first reception power from a first access point and a second reception power from a second access point; executes handover from the first access point to the second access point if the difference obtained by subtracting the first reception power from the second reception power is greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold Th; estimates a first available bandwidth before execution of the handover and causes the memory (30) to store the first available bandwidth; estimates a second available bandwidth after execution of the handover and causes the memory (30) to store the second available bandwidth; and controls, on the basis of an available-bandwidth difference between the first available bandwidth and the second available bandwidth, a timing for executing handover for the moving mobile wireless terminal (100).
