Description:
"A module for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track”.

The subject of this utility model is a module for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track.

Recreational tracks particularly intended for cycling, but also for roller skating, are known under the name pump-track and are a purposefully prepared small track, which enables riding on a two-wheeled device (usually a bicycle) and provides comprehensive training. It is made of high-speed curves and moguls. It develops users' reflexes, a sense of balance and fitness.

From the French application document FR2757075, a modular skating track is known. The track is made of a horizontal surface connected to modular curved sections. The upper part of the end section is covered by a cylindrically-shaped bumper. The slope is connected to the platform by a safety barrier. The curved surfaces are supported on a frame made of vertical, horizontal and diagonal bars. They are stiffened with triangular bars and connected to each other by mounting plates. The horizontal surface is supported by bars beneath it, and inclination can be varied with means of feet of variable height.

From the European application document EP0378725A1, a track solution is known, in particular for a skateboard, made of individual modules. In order to set up a skateboard track which can be constructed outdoors and which has a long sendee life with simultaneously excellent rolling properties, it is proposed to construct a skateboard track from individual modules that consist of precast concrete, thus having excellent riding properties on their running side and at the same time generating less noise than previously known tracks.

From the European application document EP0870523A1, a roller track solution made of individual elements is known. The track structure consists of many sections that form a hollow track with a flat bottom and a number of end sections, with which the structure has a closed semicircular end. The hollow track consists of concave sections that have flat horizontal platforms along the hill. Platforms are used for starting or landing. Users can also move along the structure and along the semicircular end. The concave sections are supported by struts. A roof can be added to the structure.

From the European application description EP0796641A1, a roller track solution made of individual modules is known. The roller track comprises at least one part with a bent surface, wherein this part consists of a bent surface which is primarily supported by curved slats extending primarily in the direction of curvature of the bent plate.

Known tracks can be made of wood, concrete or plastic, wherein concrete can be poured on the construction site of the tract, for example, or it can be made in the form of modular elements manufactured externally to the construction site and appropriately selected according to the needs, particularly to the shape of the terrain or the need to ensure proper track construction.

Recreational tracks known from the state of the art, particularly tracks made of concrete elements, are characterized by heavy weight, which causes great difficulties in their construction and also affects their cost. It is also important that known tracks, due to their geometry, do not provide the optimal level of user safety.

The purpose of the utility model is to provide modular elements for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, which in addition to low construction costs of the track, ensure optimal riding trajectory for the user, thus improving the level of safety, contributing to the ergonomics of riding and enabling the construction of tracks of various shapes. According to the utility model, a module for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, pertains to the construction of a track having a frame on which modules are laid.

The module has an upper part intended for riding. This upper part has a curved surface, with the quadrilateral shape in the top view, with two opposing rounded sides. The module also has a first side wall and a second side wall, wherein the first side wall and the second side wall form the base of the module. The module also has a left face wall and an opposite right face wall. These two walls are placed between the first side wall and the second side wall. In the top view, the module has a quadrilateral-like shape with two parallel sides of different length and two sides of the same length in the form of arcs, the left face wall and the right face wall are parallel, while the upper part is rectangular in the top view, wherein the first side wall and the second side wall form obtuse angles with the upper part in the view from the side of the left face wall.

It is advantageous when the upper portion intended for riding makes a curved surface, which is concave towards the base formed by the first side wall and the second side wall, in the view from the side of the left face wall.

It is also advantageous when, in the side view, the first side wall and the second side wall have a triangle- like shape with two straight sides and one side being an arc bent towards the base, the highest point of which is located adjacent to the left face wall, and the lowest point of which is located adjacent to the opposite right face wall.

It is also advantageous when the edges of the upper part adjacent to the first side wall and the second side wall have curvatures with a radius in the range from 50 m to 100 mm.

It is also advantageous when the upper part of the module, which is intended for riding, has a roughened surface.

The subject of the utility model is shown in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows the module for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, in a perspective view from the comer of the first side wall and the right face wall, fig. 2 shows the module for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, in top view, fig. 3 shows the module for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, from the comer of the first side wall and the left face wall, fig. 4 shows the module for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, in a side view from the first side wall, and fig. 5 shows the location of the module for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, in an exemplary recreational track.

As shown in fig. 5, the module 1 for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, having the frame on which other modular elements are placed, can be arranged as an oval-like track in the place where the track ns substantially straight in terms of the direction of travel and defines the entry to the hill or exit from the hill, when it comes to the level with respect to the ground. Eight modules 1, facing each other in pairs in opposite direction, are used in this exemplary track.

As shown in fig. 1, fig 2, fig. 3 and fig. 4, the module 1 for the constmction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, comprises an upper part 2 on its upper side, which is intended for riding a bicycle or other recreational vehicle. The upper part 2 is connected with the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4 and with the left face wall 5 and the right face wall 6. The terms "right" and "left" have conventional meanings, as the module 1 is symmetrical with respect to its longitudinal axis.

The first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4 define the base of the module 1, on which the module 1 can be placed. The left face wall 5 and a right face wall 6 are located between the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4.

The upper part 2 of the module 1 makes a curved surface, which defines the riding trajectory for the user along the track, through the module 1. As shown in fig. 2, the module 1, in the top view, namely from the upper part 2 side, has a a quadrilateral-like shape with two parallel sides of different length and two sides of the same length in the form of arcs, the left front wall 5 and the right front wall 6 are parallel, while the upper part 2 has a rectangular shape in the top view, wherein, in the view from the left face wall, the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4 form obtuse angles with the upper part 2. Such an inclination of the first side wall 3 and the right side wall 4 significantly affects the riding stability of a person using the recreational track, and thus the safety of a person.

As shown in fig. 2 the left face wall 5 and the right face wall 6 extend substantially vertically. The left face wall 5 and the right face wall 6 serve to connect the module 1 with other modules during the construction of the recreational track, wherein the right face wall 6 is relatively low with respect to the left face wall 5, which makes the module 1 an entry module to the hill of the track or an exit module from the hill of the track.

The first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4, in the side view, have a triangle-like shape with two straight sides and one side making an arc bent towards the base, the highest point of which is located at the left face wall 5 and the lowest point at the opposite right face wall 6, as it is particularly shown in fig. 4, but also in fig. 1 and fig. 3.

The upper part 2 of the module 1 for the construction of the recreational track, intended for riding by the track user, has a curved surface, which in the view from the left end wall 5 side is concave towards the base formed by the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4, as it is shown in fig. 1 and fig. 3. This affects the safety of the track user in such a way, that it limits the possibility of falling out from the track, because the concavity of the upper part 2 causes a type of “pulling” the track user towards the centre of the module 1.

As shown in fig. 4, in a side view, the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4 have the shape of a figure with three straight sides and one side being an arc curved away from the base. The highest point of the arc is at the left face wall 5 and the lowest point of the arc is at the right face wall 6. Properly selected curvature of the arc also affects the safety of the person using the track. As can be seen from the above, the curved shape of the upper part 2 of the module 1 is quite complex, because it defines both the entry to the hill and the exit from the hill, and therefore must be bent in the longitudinal axis of the module 1 in relation to the base formed by the first side wall 3 and the second side wall 4, as well as it must be concave between the left face wall 5 and the right face wall 6.

The edges of the upper part 2 adjacent to the first side wall 3 and to the second side wall 4 have curvatures 7 with a radius in the range from 50 to 100 m . The surface of the upper part 2 of the module 1 is roughened, in order to provide a better grip for people moving along the track.

Roughness is obtained by covering the module 1 with paint, applying a layer of quartz silica before the paint dries, removing excess silica after the paint dries and applying another layer of paint.

Module 1 for the construction of a recreational track, particularly a bicycle track, is made of plastic with fibreglass base.
