Abstract:
The present invention improves the usability of a module exchange-assisting device (30) that is used for exchanging work modules in a production system (10) in which work modules (14) are disposed on a base (12) on which rails (20) are laid. The module exchange-assisting device (30) is configured so as to comprise: (a) a table (32) disposed to the side of the base; (b) a pallet (34), which is separably loaded on the table, on the upper surface of which auxiliary rails (36) are laid, and on which a work module can be loaded so as to be loaded on the auxiliary rails; (c) a pallet movement-permitting mechanism for permitting sliding movement of the pallet with respect to the table; and (d) a pallet-positioning mechanism for positioning the pallet, the sliding movement of which is permitted, in order to make movement of the work module between the rails of the base and the auxiliary rails possible. Since work modules can be transported pallet and all, it is possible to exchange work modules conveniently without using a crane.
