Abstract:
A molded article which is produced by forming an alicyclic structure-containing polymer and has a yellow index at an optical path length of 200 mm of 25 or less. The molded article can be produced by the following method (1), (2) or (3): (1) the polymer is subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature of 40°C to (Tg - 5°C) and/or a vacuum treatment at a pressure of 600hPa or less for 1 hr or more, and is returned to an ordinary pressure or cooled in an atmosphere of a low oxygen concentration, and then is subjected to heat molding; (2) the polymer is heated to a temperature 5 to 60 °C lower than Tg, and then is subjected to heat molding when it is least cooled; (3) the polymer is heated to a temperature 5 to 60 °C lower than Tg under a low partial pressure of oxygen, and then is transferred to a molding machine and subjected to heat molding when it is least cooled. The molded article is useful as a light transmittion article which is excellent in luminance and chromaticity.
