Abstract:
A molded surface fastener (1, 2, 3) in which engaging elements (10, 17, 18, 60, 70) are provided with at least two engaging claws (13, 73) that protrude outward, wherein: the plurality of engaging elements (10, 17, 18, 60, 70) are arranged in rows along the machine direction (MD) to form element rows (15, 65, 75); the plurality of element rows (15, 65, 75) are placed so as to be aligned in the orthogonal direction (CD); each of the engaging elements (10, 17, 18, 60, 70) has, as the engaging claws (13, 73), at least a pair of the symmetrical engaging claws (13, 73) that are arranged at symmetrical positions in the orthogonal direction (CD) and that protrude in respective fashion toward the orthogonal-direction (CD) sides; and the plurality of engaging elements (10, 17, 18, 60, 70) are arranged in a staggered pattern. The molded surface fastener (1, 2, 3) can thereby exhibit the desired performance, such as peel strength, appropriately and stably for many more types of nonwoven fabric.
