Abstract:
A molding-machine cylinder characterized by having an HIP sintered lining layer on an inner surface of a cylindrical steel matrix, wherein the lining layer contains 38 to 70 volume% of tungsten carbide particles with a median size (d50) of 1 to 7 μm in a nickel-based alloy base, and the maximum length of any cross section of the base is equal to or less than 12 μm.
