Abstract:
[Problem] To obtain a large drive force on molten metal with low power consumption. [Solution] A magnetic field device 2 of a molten metal drive device 1 is provided with iron cores 21-25, yokes 31, 32, 33 that link the iron cores 21-25, coils 41a, 41b that are wound around the iron cores 21-25 so as to surround the yoke 31, coils 42a, 42b that are wound around the iron cores 21-25 so as to surround the yoke 32, and coils 43a, 43b that are wound around the iron cores 21-25 so as to surround the yoke 33; the coil 41a and coil 41b are wound so as to generate a magnetic field H1 oriented towards the yoke 31 when a first-phase current flows, the coil 42a and coil 42b are wound so as to generate a magnetic field H2 oriented towards the yoke 32 when a second-phase current flows, and the coil 43a and coil 43b are wound so as to generate a magnetic field H3 oriented towards the yoke 33 when a third-phase current flows.
