Abstract:
This method for monitoring keyhole welding by a plasma arc includes: a step for measuring output voltage when welding using a constant current; a step for finding a peak frequency and distribution of the same by frequency analysis of a welding voltage correlating with molten weld pool (P) vibration among the output voltages measured; a step for specifying the peak frequency that correlates with the molten weld pool (P) vibration; and a step for comparing the specified peak frequency with a frequency range and determining whether the weld is good or bad. Thus, whether or not excellent keyhole welding is carried out can be determined with excellent precision just by comparing the peak frequency that correlates with the molten weld pool (P) vibration and a frequency range.
