Abstract:
An HC (101) is connected to a plurality of appliances (110) via a network (130). In a monitoring mode, the HC (101) performs, via the network (130), direct control on a human detection sensor (120) that is included in an air conditioner (110a) within a home (H) and that is originally to be used for control of the air conditioner. In so doing, the HC (101) acquires, via the network (130), sensor information detected by the human detection sensor (120) and, on the basis of the acquired sensor information, determines the status of security within the home (H).
