Abstract:
A monitoring system (100) according to the present disclosure is provided with: a plurality of image-capturing means (101) installed at a plurality of places within an area to be monitored; a specifying means (102) for specifying objects to be monitored from video images captured by the plurality of image-capturing means; a determination means (103) for determining, among the specified objects to be monitored, whether or not the same object to be monitored is displayed in the video images of the plurality of image-capturing means that have been captured in the same time segment; and a control means (104) for selecting at least one image-capturing means on the basis of a predetermined condition from among the image-capturing means which have captured the video images displaying the same object to be monitored, and controlling the image-capturing by the selected image-capturing means or controlling supply of the video images.
