Abstract:
This motor control device performs PWM control whereby a first element of one of an ON-selected upper arm element and lower arm element is switched on the basis of a duty ratio. Furthermore, the motor control device determines a duty command value such that a second element connected in series to the first element is subjected to complementary PWM control whereby the second element turns ON for a prescribed time during which the first element is OFF. The motor control device performs complementary PWM control when the duty command value is a threshold value or less. When the duty command value is greater than the threshold value, the motor control device performs average PWM control in which, for the first element, a first period in which the element is continuously ON, and a second period in which the element is OFF for a long time to implement a revised duty ratio are set up, and the average duty ratio during the combined period of the first period and the second period is equal to a set duty ratio. In the second period, the motor control device turns ON the second element while the first element is OFF.
