Abstract:
In this motor drive system, a first actuator and a second actuator each have a plurality of redundantly provided control calculation units and a plurality of redundantly provided motor drive units. The control calculation units of the mutually paired systems in the first and second actuators mutually transmit and receive information to and from each other by inter-actuator communication. When a failure has occurred in any of the systems in either one of the two actuators (S1) or when a failure has occurred in the inter-actuator communication of any of the systems, the control calculation unit of each actuator including the system in which the failure has occurred stops motor drive control (S3). The control calculation units of the normal systems in both actuators then continue the motor drive control (S4).
