A motor installation structure and a washing machine equipped with a belt motor by means of the motor installation structure. The motor (2) is mounted to a motor support (1) by means of a connecting rod (17); an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the relative position is provided between the connecting rod (17) and the motor support (1); the adjustment mechanism comprises a support rod (18) passing through the connecting rod (17) and the motor support (1) in sequence; both ends of the support rod (18) are provided with limiting portions radially protruding from through holes at corresponding sides; and at least one limiting portion is connected to the support rod (18) in a relative position adjustable manner. The motor installation structure enables adjustment of the motor installation position without disassembly, and the adjustment of the relative position of the limiting portions enables the installation position of the motor (2) on the motor support (1) to be moved up and down, such that the tension of a belt (16) connected to the motor (2) is adjusted accordingly, thereby achieving a remarkable technical improvement of the transmission ratio of a belt transmission structure.
